About
One idea, three addresses, and a lot of blow-dries in between.
2016 — today
MK opened in 2016 with a single premise: get the details right and people come back. No gimmicks, no upselling, no rushing the blow-dry because the next guest is early. It turned out to be enough.
Today there are three MK addresses across Dubai — Dar Al Wasl, Meyan Mall, and here on Palm Jumeirah. The team has grown to include stylists trained in Europe, the US and across the Middle East, and the work has widened from grooming into colour, braids, nails and skin.
What has not changed is the consultation at the start of every appointment, and the habit of telling you honestly what will and will not work on your hair.
The Room
Emerald chairs, cream arches and a wall of green. Enough daylight to judge colour properly, and quiet enough that you can hear yourself think.
Because we sit inside NH Collection Dubai The Palm, we get two kinds of guest: residents with a standing appointment, and hotel guests with two hours before dinner. Both get the same chair, the same stylist and the same care.
The Team
Ask for someone by name when you book — regulars usually do.
Cuts, blow-dries and the finish. Trained across Europe, the US and the Middle East, and fluent in both Western and Arabic styling.
Balayage, root melts, correction work and the toner that makes it all read expensive. They will patch-test you properly first.
Textured-hair specialists doing knotless, boho, cornrows and twists — at a pace your scalp can live with.
Gel, builder gel and freehand art, with sterilised tools and single-use files as standard rather than as a selling point.
Extensions, lifts, lamination and threading — mapped to your eye shape, not to whatever is trending this month.
Threading and waxing, from a five-minute brow tidy to a full body wax — quick, clean and done properly.
Standards
Tools sterilised between every guest. Files, buffers and applicators are single-use. Towels and gowns are laundered, never reused between clients.
Professional lines only, stored properly and replaced on schedule. If you have an allergy or a sensitivity, tell us at booking and we will work around it.
If the photo you brought will not work on your hair, we will say so and offer the closest thing that will. That conversation happens before we start.
Walk-ins are welcome whenever we have a chair free — but booking ahead means you get the stylist you want.
