Questions
Everything else
Do I need to book in advance?
Not always, but it helps. Same-day appointments are often available, and walk-ins are welcome whenever a chair is free. Booking ahead is the only way to guarantee a particular stylist or a particular time — Thursday and Friday evenings fill up first.
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes, subject to availability. If you are already in the hotel, call ahead on the way down and we will tell you honestly whether it is a five-minute wait or an hour.
Do I need a patch test before colour?
If it is your first time colouring with us, yes — at least 48 hours before your appointment. It takes two minutes and you can do it on a walk-past. We cannot skip it, even if you have had the same colour elsewhere.
How do I pay?
Cash or card, in salon. There is no minimum spend and no service charge added at the till.
Can you come to my hotel room?
For hotel guests, yes — hair and makeup can be done in your room by arrangement, with a surcharge on top of the service. Ask when you book so we can bring the right kit.
Do you do men's grooming too?
Our sister business, MK Barber Shop, is in the same building and has been cutting in Dubai since 2016. We can book you in there at the same time as your own appointment.
What if I need to cancel?
Please give us four hours' notice so we can offer the slot to someone else. For bridal bookings and any appointment over three hours, we ask for 48 hours.
Is there parking?
Free parking on site, and valet at the hotel entrance. The Palm Jumeirah tram is about a four-minute walk away.
